Pro Tips For Amateur Golfers

Do you love to watch golf?  Are you an amateur golfer and aspire to hit the ball just like one of these professional golfers? Well, you need to remember few things for performing in that professional manner. The first criterion is that you need to practice harder. The second criterion is that you should have perseverance. The third criterion is that you must have a great deal of on-field experience. Finally, the last criterion is that you must be aware of some thumb rules of the game.  We have compiled and shared some of these tips for you. Watch out.

Your position should be accurate

While taking a position for hitting the ball with the golf stick, the manner in which you stand should be given paramount importance.   This is because you can put the right amount of force for pushing the ball into the hole only when your posture is accurate.  On the other hand, standing in the incorrect posture will always restrict you from giving that winning stroke  which makes you give that winning stroke. Here, Joseph Saigh Golf Consultant suggests that you should stand in a way where the upper part of your body should slightly stoop in the front.  Your legs should be slightly spread apart and flexible enough to withstand your body pressure when you make the stroke. The hips should also be slightly tilted and in line with your slanted upper body. However, there is no such instruction about your arms. So, you can keep them flexible while gripping the golf stick firmly.

You should hold the club properly

Although Joe Saigh suggests that there is no hard and fast rule on the manner in which you must keep your hands, he simultaneously advices that every golfer should know the accurate manner in which the golf stick should be held.  Thus, he advises that while holding the club stick, the grip should not be so loose that it goes out of your hand when you make a forceful stroke. In addition, you need to stand in a manner where your stretched feet are in a parallel line with the golf stick. Basically, you can make this alignment straight if you imagine that you are standing against a straight wall and your feet and the club stick are touching the wall at the same time. When you imagine such a situation, you will eventually find that the lines are all straight.

Positioning the stick before the stroke

There are certain instructions shared by Saign on the manner the club stick has to be held before making the stroke. He advises that you should drag the stick backward and in an absolutely straight line. Now apply your force when you give a straight and forward stroke to the golf ball with the stick.  You will find that the ball rolls to its hole on its own!
